Half a century ago, in the days of the Soviet Union, the leaders of the party and the government, as you know, were of a rather old age in which illnesses and indispositions are inevitable partners of life. The best physicians of the power were to take care of health of the political elite. Of course, they took care, but whether the medicine was not so almighty, whether the folk roots of national leaders were the reason, but the fact is that the statesmen turned to the folk medicine.
T.A.Bureva, a well-known healer of those days, was called to help the physicians. It happened so that one of the important patients had a whole bunch of chronic illnesses: a pancreatitis, problems with kidneys, stones, excess weight, and a raised blood pressure – to cut a long story short, all the symptoms characteristic for people of an elderly age.
